according to the info i looked up on the day it happened there is a video of the actual "accident" but from what i understand the video is now in police custody -(why police are involved so deeply i dont know because there was no foul play) and the way it was told in the interviews with his manager and on the news very few people will ever see it...i thought that i might want to but now im not so sure...its not like it would be an enjoyable entertaining video

There is a chance, they do play the shooting of JFK from time to time. I don't really want to see him die, but I would like to see the look on his face as he pulls that stingray stinger out. I just wonder how concious he was of what he was doing or if he was just acting on instinct.
I think even if they don't release it now they will in 10 years or more from now.

for his family's sake I hope not. People have a strange thought process that makes them think it's their right to see it. It certainly is not. They've already reviewed it (friends + family) and I think it should now be hidden away it's really no one elses business.

I think it will surface... like a celebrity sex tape, it'll be worth millions of dollars.

All it would take is a policeman/cameraman to set up www.stingrayvirwin.com and the money will roll in

Honestly, I don't see what harm it could do. If you don't want to see it, don't watch it.

i heard from a friend (who read it out of his biography) that he, long ago, asked his camera crew to tape his death. i think it depends on what his wife thinks, and if she's ready to let it out to the public. so said tho...he was a great man.

I hope not. Society is getting too desensitized to things like that.
