I never heard of a broken cervix. Do you mean you have an incompetent cervix? A fetus develops in the uterus and the cervix serves a physical barrier to keep the fetus in the uterus. The cervix is made up of both muscles and connective tissue. In the case of an incompetent cervix, the muscles are very weak and can not function properly. In cases like this, it is very easy to have a spontaneous abortion. Obstetricians can perform a cerclage, which is basically using sutures to reinforce the cervix. This procedure is quite effective and women with incompetent cervix can have children.

Broken? I think you may mean, torn, or not closed the whole way (incompetent cervix), but yes, they just have to put a few stitches in to hold it closed, then when you go into labor they remove them.

But I'm no doctor, so it would be best to check with him/her.

Good luck!

I don't think your cervix can be broken. I'm not sure I have enough information to answer this question.

I always say, "We're trying." Which I mean...if your having sex is trying right. I know what its like ...I have polycycstic ovary syndrome myself. And I'm told it is 10% chance I can become pregnant. And if I do, I will be high risk for miscarriage or complications. Scary, however on the bright side my sister had cancerous cells too, and her baby boy is 9 months old now. Basically, all you can do is tell her your trying or we don't want kids. So how she takes that one. But I would tell her of your situation. She may have experienced something similar in her life, and if you get good communication flowing between you, you'll have an extra place to turn if you ever have a problem or concern with your man. Cuz no one know him better than his mommy. I swear my man is still on the tit...they call some men mommy's SUCK for a reason...And if and when you do have youngsters, don't smother them like his mom does or did, whatever...my mans mom is still doing it so...Good Luck.
