Why do you feel the need to come into the L,G,B &T and give your opinion or quote scripture in here? "Let he without sin cast the first stone." Am I not right?

Go Leelee! I don't get it: Don't give in to temptation - don't explore any of the wonderful things on this Earth God created. You have choices but most of them are wrong so only do what the book says(that's a hell of a choice!). God loves all his children but, sorry, most of you will be sent to Hell.
This sounds more like a tyrant than God. God is supposed to be an entity of Love I thought? For all the preachers, try learning some simple lessons (which you probably already know but are obviously out of practice), before insulting and condemning others: Love your neighbor, do not judge. With those TWO ideas, I think we can agree to disagree instead of continuing this silly battle over what's right and wrong, especially in terms of sexuality. Learn to have some respect.

Must admit - I do have a tiny bit of a problem with people being holier than thou and quoting scripture at me. I try to lead as good a life as I can and occasionally fall off the path of perfection - but heck at least I try.

Hiding under a mask of religious pseudo virtue does not make you a better person in the way that putting your seat belt on does not make you a good driver.

I am fine with people who find comfort and happiness in religion - good luck to you I say and I almost envy you your beliefs. But there is a faction who use the bible like a hammer to beat the rest of us with and heaven knows how this fits in with any sort of ethic of forgiveness and helping fellow human beings.

You know who you are - now pack it in!!

im not sure why people feel the need to come one here and qoute scripture. I mean im a good honest person , i work hard , am good to my friends and generally a nice guy so what i dont get is why people feel the need to victamise a group just because of there sexuality . Its not fair , if there that bothered stay out of the LBGT part of awnsers , cos if you come in just to make hurtfull comments then theres something wrong with you.

we dont need someone who weve never met before and would obviouslly never socialise with ( due to the gay bashing )to tell us god will judge us . If thats true leave it to him .

Some people have to say the things they do, because they are insecure in their lives, and need some affirmation (or non-affirmation from people they do not respect) in order to attempt to validate themselves.

Unfortunately, you and I become the victims of their quest, and most of the time, they end up no more validated, no happier, than had they just left us alone.

..yes, I agree. "Judge not lest ye be judged" ....".If someone smites you on the left cheek, turn & give him the other", I'm paraphasing, but I have the jist of it. I know the meaning. Unlike a lot of othes who use the book for their own purposes. I think it's more evil to use religion to make money. Jesus threw the money changers out of the Temple.

Honestly, the Bible is just a book written by PEOPLE.

God didn't send it down for us to live by, it was written as an accounting of events that occured.

Maybe I should start quoting celebrity biographies... because I'm sure there's someone who would take it with an ounce of worship.

I have come into this forum many times and gave thoughtful, rational and non-religious answers. I have never preached scriptures or anything and I feel that you threw stones at me (not personally) first.

I was merely quoting the asker and not scripture.

You can't quote scripture if you don't live by it. You'll take it out of context.
If scripture is offensive to you...then don't read it. I don't read anything quoted out of the quran and expect it to bother me, same with the Mormon bible.

So....what you're saying is that Christians shouldn't have freedom of speech?

For Christians, part of their "duty" as a Christian is to "spread the word of God"... wich a lot of them interpret as license to preach and be really self-righteous. Thankfully, not all Christians feel the need to make others feel guilty.

they have no backbone and as every MEAN GIRL has said from the beginning of time...
THEY'RE JUST JEALOUS!! hahaha
but more seriously...
as the Bible said of the Pharisees,

"They honored me with their lips,
but their hearts were far from me,
they took HUMAN precepts to be GOD'S LAW"...

The word of the Lord.
lets give some crap to the modern Pharisees or "Christians" as they like to call themselves.
