Do you think that gossip, a baseline human tendency, is fundamentally wrong?

I think it'a terrible quality. I was only saying to the guy next door (secret alchoholic) that it isn't right. And that woman down at number seven has had every guy in the road. Not to mention the grocer in the . . . .

Gossip doesn't have to be bad or negative- and in the days of old- was a sort of survival technique to find out what was going on in the neighborhood- who to avoid and who was after you etc etc... and firstly one would need to decide what exactly is gossip- fairly simply it would be any sort of comment about an absent party- praise coould be considered gossip- but in todays society where we tend to be more negative or destructive we tent to hype up the negative comments.... Probably why the cheap tabloids do so well- from a sales poiont of view...

Gossip is always a negative thing, both for the person(s) gossiping and the subject(s) of the gossip

Depends on the gossip. Some is good as it passes on useful information and makes people debate problems and help cause general conversation. Equally as much is bad, as it causes people to pass round false information and in some occations be detrimental to other people.

Of course not, human being needs gossip as this is a way for him to add spice to life and make it more exciting. It is not wrong, it is completely natural...

Gossip is generally a downfall in human society, it brings with it lies and a lot of greif.
It's such a shame that those who you think are closest to you can take your secrets and spread them like wildfire in gossiping.

Depends if it's derogatory against certain people. Gossipping can be good for us and strengthens human bonds, but malicious gossip can ruin lives!

It harms the gossiper, lowering their vibrations and entangling them in Cosmic Delusion. It harms the gossiped-about because it is nit Truth.

absolutely not....gossip is good for the soul,,,,,because it allows you to express thing s you cannot share with those who bug you, working relationships will not and cannot allow you to do. just pick the people you gossip with very carefully.

no not at all as i was sayin to her from here, you know the one that i mean the one with the hair and veiny legs, gossips ok as long as your truthful and the person your talking about does'nt find out.
