I believe that the United States is a safe place to live in
2006 and beyond. Feeling safe is not having to worry about being blwn up by a terrorist, being robbed or
being able to walk down the street at night time.
Other countries in the world that to me are safe, are Australia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Thailand,
China, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, England,
Norway, Denmark, Sweden.

None. The world has never been a safe place to live in. Safe to me means being at peace in yourself.

I feel safe in the US. Well, as safe as anyone really is. I could still get in a car wreck or fall ill.

No more are shot and die of violent crime in the USA than in Iraq.
When you add in car wrecks you are safer in a war zone.
I believe it was Canada that was voted the safest place in the world. There pretty laid back.

"Tokyo is probably one of the safest cities you will ever visit, and Japan in general is one of the safest places to visit in the world. Street crime is extremely rare, even late at night, and continues to decrease. However, "little crime" does not mean "no crime", and common sense should still be applied as anywhere in the world."

And panty thieves get treatment, not jail.

Safer than the Middle East for now at least. Doesn't matter where you live, you have to be careful and aware of your surroundings at all times.
