I want to know what the uproar is about this tape being released? I see so many people saying NO don't release it (as if they have any say) however if it was out they are the same folks who would watch it just out of morbid curiosity. I know I would watch it, taht doesnt make me a horrible person or insensitive. While it is very sad that he was killed, he himself stated in an interview that if he ever dies he hoped it would be caught on tape. All of us have seen footage of Kennedy being assasinated and the WTC crumbling to the ground, what is the differencr in watching this?

Fairy Dust, I still think you are gonna eat your works (as dramatic as they are) The news states that his manager says the tape should be destroyed, not that it definately will. Maybe you should do a little more reasearch before you so adamantly protest something!! Bet you'll be first in line to watch anyways!

Mik3: I know what your saying about WTC, however it has been played over and over again. What about Kennedy as I previously stated.

There is no difference, although I thought the Stever was incredibly brave, he was long overdue for a Darwin award. They're animals, and there's no way to control them in the wild. People who have watched in fascination over the yaers were watching for that reason.. to see what danger he would get himself into, it's just too bad his love of nature cost him his life.

Unfortunately, the families of the September 11 attack victims in New York had little to no choice as far as their relatives collective deaths occurring live on television as the towers collapsed. Regardless of what Mr. Irwin may have stated clearly, albeit somewhat jokingly in an interview, I doubt his family wants the video of their husband and father's very sad, not to mention graphic death multiplied endlessly around the world just because people are curious.

You make a point to an extent, but the fact remains should each 9/11 death have been caught on tape individually in such detail and they had the power to stop it, they would have been stopped. That's all that is happening here and I feel they are making the appropriate decision.

Why don't you go on a mission, dear, of getting a hold of it, since you seem HELL BENT to keep bringing this up, and since you have a wild hair up your lazy rear end and want to see it so much. When you get a hold of it, you can let all the weirdos know you have it, put it on a web site and let the action begin. But please do us a favor and shut your flapping gums about this because you bring it up every day, day in and day out! You sound demented and VERY VERY bored with your life. Why don''t you get one! A life, that is! All Rhetorical.

The Steve Irwin tape is to be destroyed..
Some weird people "get off" on watching real people getting killed and injured...This is to prevent that from occurring..

for the last time
The footage of steve irwins death is never going to be released it's GOING TO BE DESTROYED ( don't u read the headlines? ), Contrary to the reports that his wife is deciding on when to release it is totally untrue,** The footage which she hasn't decided to release is the footage that was shot on that trip the previous 10 days,**
Have some respect.. The footage is going to be destroyed after the full report is made, By request of his father, wife and manager

I don't think it's a big deal either. It's not like it was a violent act with graphic details. It's not like he's bleeding everywhere and yelling and screaming. He got stung and then pushed the tail away from him and then went unconscious.

they didn't release grizzly man's tape, and it was just audio.
these tapes might be offensive to a lot of people as you see the person actually dying and struggling for the last moments of his life.

i do agree with you on this... i dont want to watch him die, but you are correctr, we DID see the WTC and JFK,I don't think it is any different, but I do think it wont be released out of the morbidity of the whole matter and out of respect for a great man who lost his life doing what he loved to protect the many lives of the animals he so loved...

I dont want to see it, but Steve himself said he wanted his death to be on tape in an interview several years ago.

it will never be released to the public. It will be destroyed once the police released it. I wanted to see it too.
