the family doesn't want the tape destroyed. where do you get your information? they all say that's the way he would have wanted to go, doing somehting he loved, not something like getting hit by a bus or whatever. and steve irwin said that he wanted the cameras to keep rolling no matter what, even if he was being eaten by a crocodile. he and his family knew the risks and accepted them. it is sad he's gone, but they're planning on airing the video because that's what he wanted.

the bottom line in this argument lies with the family...if they feel it is right to see the death of steve doing what he loved doing then that would be the case....only they will decide and i hope if they do they charge an arm and a leg for the benefit of the causes steve espoused........i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Hi i think they should show the footage up to his death but not show his death if you know what i mean. His family will not agree but i know what you are trying to say, he loved what he did so much and if he was here now he probably would want to show it as he died doing something he loves, but we will never no as he is not here to say. I think if would be a bit disrespect full if the tape was leaked out without his familys consent. But i think for people like you you want to see it to believe that he has really gone, as it was sudden and a shock as he was always doing things dangerous but it was just a strange thing that went wrong. We will just have to see what happens.

I still cannot believe Steve Irwin has gone at the age of 44, doing what he liked doing. Let the family decide if they want to show the death or not.

OMG HIS FAMILY HAVE ALREADY MADE THE DECISION ITS GOING TO BE DESTROYED..
>>>>>>>>>>>>

for the last time
The footage of steve irwins death is never going to be released it's GOING TO BE DESTROYED ( don't u read the headlines? ), Contrary to the reports that his wife is deciding on when to release it is totally untrue,** The footage which she hasn't decided to release is the footage that was shot on that trip the previous 10 days,**
Have some respect.. The footage is going to be destroyed after the full report is made, By request of his father, wife and manager

He has always made it known that if he were to ever get into any trouble, the 'show must go on', its what he wanted. As to wanting to see it, each to their own, some may consider it morbid, others just curious!!

They definately should show his death, because he was a great man, and we desrve to see his final momentys. He also said that he wishes his death to be shown, were it ever caught on camera.

Either way, there will no doubt be some lowly bugs who end up finding the video and putting it online for all to see.

His family should have the final say. They are the ones that knew him and loved him.
