There is only one and one only way to get back at someone: Ignore him/her and go about your business and succeed in life.
Revenge and vindictiveness (same difference) is not going to make you a better person. It will, however, make YOU look bad in the eyes of others, and can only hurt YOU. Your success and happiness will REALLY annoy the dogshit out of that person!
Wasting time and energy on someone else is acknowledging the "power" they have over you. Ignore that person; to ignore someone is the very worse insult... you do not recognize or acknowledge that person's miserable existence because that person is too far below your dignity.. Do not avoid him/her, just ignore the person totally. Don't look at him/her, don't utter a single word or sound in their direction. If he/she stands next to you and sing to annoy you or make statements directed at you... act as though you don't hear a single thing and make believe that person is not there. Walk away and leave it alone. Do do not give that person the joy of knowing that he/she annoyed you in any way, shape or form! If someone else makes a nasty comment or says anything about that person, ignore it, too and do not react to it. If the person leaves something valuable behind, ignore it and leave it alone... it may be a trap to get you into trouble; leave it alone and ignore it totally. And always conduct yourself at your best! Never say anything to annoy that person. Ignore him/her totally.

Be as nice as can be to them. Eventually they are going to realize that they were acting out of line and appoligize. 9 times out of 10 we are worse on ourselves than anyone could ever be. You trying to get this person back will just justify there actions.

If they are in a relationship, you could send love letters to thier house from some made up person. Thier s/o will eventually open one and would never believe them when they say they have no idea who's sending them.

Totally, ignore them, really I have found out over the years, that it works! If you give them any attention at all, you've played into their game. My motto is, "Ignore It, and It Will go away"...........:)
