Your address. Sometimes you may need a deposit (especially for telephone). You can usually call over a phone to set up most of the services...look in the front of the phone book for information.

Go get a local phone book, all of the utility phone numbers will be listed in the front. State you need to set up utilities. Be prepared to pay deposits.

You want to make sure that the essentials; water, electric, heat are turned on before you move in. You will need to give the utility companies your address, and your billing information.

more important.....make sure you do a walk thru with management and note every single flaw or defect........chip in paint, crack in wall, stain in carpet, dent in fridge door, discoloration in any appliance, painted service or counter top, and i mean every single thing you can find. if you see something after a few weeks, have them add it to list. i know that sounds like you will be a nitpicker but when you move out they will try to bill you for every repair, scratch dent or ding, stain or break, and they will be the nitpickers then. but back to utilities, you will need your bank account number, and be prepared to have enough money for deposits, you may need a reference or two. you will need electric, gas, water and sewer, trash should be included in rent. good luck
