would i be able to convert to ISO the compress and burn onto a single CD-r?

Use a program like Winavi to convert the files into dvd format and then use a program like neroexpress or similar to burn them to dvd.

Use nero and make it as a vcd disk that is what i do with videos made on my camera and slideshows .Most dvd players support the vcd format but the downside is you will not have a menu option the avi file will begin when you insert the disk into the player.best part you can use a regular blank cd-r disk which are cheaper as long as the avi file is short enough to fit on one .In the case that it is not then you would need to split the movie and have two disks for it.
