If you're talking crafts, making dream-catchers is a fun and easy aboriginal-related art project. You could also draw/design/make personal totem poles. Try: http://www.teachersfirst.com/summer/dreamcatcher.htm

If you're talking groups, the Saskatchewan Native Theater Company is a Native-Canadian project. http://www.sntc.ca/

Do mean original artwork that specifically focuses on the abs? I think its hard to get symmetry and depth associated with really skulpted abs on canvas. If you really meant, "un-original" art projects that's completely a horse of a different color (tee hee). I have soooo many un-original projects myself that it would be hard to tell you where to start. Frankly, most art is "un-original." Best of luck. Must run. I'm writing you from Perth, Australia and these damned natives keep coming by my door with their cheesey art they want me to buy! UGH.
