We already are, you think the recent drop in Gas prices has nothing to do with this either? They know they are in trouble to win the house and it's about time we start seeing some changes in this Nation or we are definitely doomed.

Hasn't that been the way that it has gone every election cycle since 9-11? The Republicans have done well at scaring the electorate into voting for them. Why shouldn't they try to do it again. I think this time it won't work as well though. America is pissed in general. There is so much more going on this election than there has been in the past. The economy is not doing well for the average American. We're paying more than ever for gas (don't give me the "with inflation the 70s were worse" spiel either when I pay $60 to fill up). Crime is on the rise. There are massive defecits and we're in a quagmire in Iraq when we were told it would be a cake walk. If America is so dumb that it'll buy this crap again, I'll be thinking about moving to Canada.

Maybe, but not necessarily because of the polls. It would be because the 5 year anniversary of 9/11 is in a few days.

Ofcourse, if you ever watched V for Vendetta it reminds me of the scene in which the chancellor says ..."we will remind the people why they need us". Thats what Bush's speeches have all been about the last few days. More terror alerts and more fear based thinking.

Absolutely and the Republicans who swear they hate it when the government uses our tax dollars for pork have absolutely NO problem that the President is running around campaigning on our dime (and giving a speech now and then so he can claim it as "work-related"). I know, I'm ahead of you--Clinton did it too--doesn't make it right, ya all know you complained like mad when he did do it!

You'll see more 9/11 shows because the anniversary of that disaster is close. I doubt you'll see terrorist videos that help a conservative president on liberal controlled airwaves. Do you think so? really?

Yes, these slimes will try to frighten the American public into believing that the threats are much worse than they really are.
