Im looking for resources that can help me find a new career.

There are lots of them beyond those at colleges. However, they are often one-man shops so they can be hard to find. My advice is to search locally for outplacement services. These companies always have career counselors since they are paid by their clients to help get people pointed in the right direction.

The watch-out is that they usually charge by the hour. As a result, you should do some homework before you go to get your thoughts together and even do some exploring on your own.

I'd suggest you 1) see about doing some online tests and then 2) looking into something like "What Color is MY Parachute". It's not the ultimate answer but the above will give you a good start and then you can frame the discussion with the counselor without having to start from scratch.

usually if you are a adult student at a college, they have resources for that in the career center or job center/transfer center. And sometimes they have free workshops, where you don't have to be a student.

but usually u can find seminars that better the job hunting or job needs. Search for some on the internet. good luck.
