I find that they only want to express their opinion and pick "best answer" of someone who agrees with them. I have seen several questions where 90% of the answers are the same great answer but the person chooses the one idiot that agrees with them.

It's always nice to hear what other people have to say. Sometimes you get answers that you didn't think of yourself.

possibly because it is very interesting and entertaining to hear other folks point of view, and sometimes learn something new. It also can be a way to bring awareness to someone...etc...etc...etc...etc...
