Well, it's cheap TV - just get out the stock footage, round up a few talking heads, you're done. Same reason we have so many "100 greatest pieces of lint" shows (not that these can't be done well, if you have the right commentators, i.e. no Jimmy Carr or retired washing powder salesmen). I'd say it's too soon to start looking back while the resulting wars aren't even over yet - the history has not been written. When the current lot of politicians are retired enough to say what they like, then's the time to make something that might actually provide some insight.

You still need to remember the souls lost on that day, people from all over the world were lost. I hope they do the same on the anniversary of the London bombings.
The UK will get back to it's old place of respect once Tony Blair is out of office and someone new is running this place better. (Hopefully not Gordon Brown)

its called anchoring,
ask yourself this question, since when have people in the uk,
started saying the date the wrong way around,
for example we say 11th of september normally , not september 11th
here is abit about anchoring
http://www.trans4mind.com/personal_development/mindMastery/anchoring.htm
so when they say the words september the 11th you think "terrorists
it must be that bin laden person lets bomb them blah blah blah!!!"
but hang on on the fbi site which is here
http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.htm
bin laden is not wanted for the sept 11th bombings
so who is ??????
and what have they got in line for us next
just a few things to make you think
and i agree with what you are saying about the
coverage being excessive
ps always ask questions, because things are never what they seem,

5 years isn't a long time and it is still the most horrific act of our generation, therefore the interest is understandable. Also, it seems too soon to forget the tragedy and the need to pose the questions about how it could have happened.

it is like a feeding frensy.
The media love it because the images are so graphic.

They would be the same for the tube bombings if there were good images of that too.
