Back in the olden days, girls liked to play hard to get. But that is so old fashioned in our modern times. She could be very shy or self-conscious. What do you mean exactly, by trying to get away from you? Does she run when she sees you? Does she constantly look over her shoulder to see whether you are following her? Does she take on the expression of a frightened deer when your eyes meet in class? Or worse, avert her glance? How do you know exactly what she senses? You indicate that she is polite. Maybe she's been brought up to have good manners. The best thing to do is try to make conversation with her. Ask her simple questions to get her to talk. If she continues to ignore you, or acts aloof, then she's probably just not interested. But a great-looking guy like you, with a personality to match, should have no trouble finding someone who will chase after you until you catch her. There are plenty of hot mamas to make up for the touch-me-nots. Good luck!
