If you can get them installed and they wont run then right click the icon and click properties. Go to combatibility and set it for whatever OS it's meant for. It should work.

It is possible that they will play if you tell WinXP to run it as a Win 95 or Win 98 program. If it is a DOS program, try running it in Win XP's Virtual DOS.
Ottherwise, run it on a Win 95 or Win 98 PC - they're cheep on eBay. I bought a few for $1 each plus $20 shipping each and these PC's work just fine.
Or, you'll need to buy the updated program designed to run on Win XP
