i took a first response prenancy test and there are two lines but one is really dark and the other line isnt; it's really light,,... am i pregnant?

Still should be pregnant... Did you buy a kit with 2 test? Take another one or schedule an appt w/ the doc.
On my test I had a faint line.. not half as dark as the other line and Yes I was pregnant!

Yes. If you read the little pamphlet inside it will say that one line can be darker then the other. That's what happened to me so I took another test. Come to find out I am 6 weeks pregnant :-) Contact your OB and have them do a test though. Then you'll know for sure...but I'll bet you are :-)

You're pregnant! A faint line means that you're newly pregnant - it means that the test has not detected very much of the pregnancy hormone in your body. The pregnancy hormone doubles daily for a while after you become pregnant, so if you take another test tomorrow or the next day, the line will be darker. This happened with my 2nd pregnancy and my midwife explained why.

I'd imagine so! But most of those tests have 2 tests inside the kit. I suggest taking the test first thing in the morning when your horomone levels are the highest and see if 2 lines appear again.
2 lines are 2 lines... I would imagine you are pregnant. But take another to be sure.

As long as there is 2 lines it's a positive result. Better take another test to be sure and call your doctor...congradulations!!

Take another test. Get one that says pregnant or not pregnant though. They are much easier to read. Take the test first thing in the morning when you first have to "go". You get a better reading this way.
Two lines could mean you are pregnant but the only way to be certain is to see your doctor.

Probably. If you weren't very far along, perhaps the hormone levels in your urine weren't high enough to cause the second ring to get dark.
Get a blood test at your OB/GYN's. That is the definitive test.

it doesn't matter if the line is light or dark. if 2 lines=preg then yes you are. however the tests are not 100% so go see your doctor and take the test with you

yep...i would wait till tomorrow morning to take another one. Everyone always drinks tons of water, but when they pee,they are just peeing the water. it's better to let the urine sit in your bladder, gets more of the hormones needed to read a pregnancy test properly. so wait till tomorrow to take another one, or just hold your pee for a really long time. i would make an appt with your doctor to do blood work, if they want to do a pee test, request blood work! My friend did two pee tests at the doc and both said no, she finally had blood work done and they said "opps you are". congrats!
