I am on birth control and have stopped because I am planning to get pregnant. I will "miss" 11 pills plus the placebo ones from now until the end of my pack. My fertile period is suppose to be at the end of my pack. (I had it calculated) What are the chances that I will actually ovulate?

If you were on the pill, you didn't have a fertile period, nor can you calculate when you will be fertile coming off the pill because the cycles you had on it were artificially regulated and your "period" was not technically speaking a period at all (because it wasn't triggered by ovulation.) You can ovulate more or less right away after going off, or it can take your body a month to several months to start cycling normally. I had an anovulatory cycle that lasted 58 days when I first came off it, but then cycled normally at 29 days after that.

Most birth control pills don't stop ovulation, they interfere with the implantation process. So I would think you have a very good chance of ovulating.

Some women aren't able to concieve for several months after going off the pill. Don't be disapointed if you don't concieve.

Next time, if you are planning to go off birth control to have more children choose another birth control method that will allow you to resume your ovulations right after going off. One of these is the IUD. It is possible to concieve immediately after removal.

I think as a general rule it will take several months before your cycle returns to normal - but this is not hard and fast. A friend of mine got pregnant about 2 months after coming off her birth control.

It all depends on your type of pill, your physiology, your health and your age.

It will probably take your body a little while to get all the stuff that bc has in it. but if you want to be sure then buy an ovulation kit and it will tell you if you are ovulating.

There is a chance, but likely it will take a month or two for the meds to get out of your system.

It all depends on how fertile you are...it could be right away or it could take months... just remember..the more you try the longer it takes. ;-) Happy fertilization!!!

probably not right away, the pills will still linger in your system for some time.
