or 13 feet 4 inches + 3(width of the saw blade)

Just try to buy a board that length at the lumber yard! They are sold in even lengths, you must buy a 14 foot long board, unless you want them to charge you for cutting to length. Then they will charge you for a 14 foot board any way, because they can't sell the short piece.
