The big nut will come with the new half shaft. They do recommend that you buy all new nuts and bolts. I am assuming that you know that you need to take off the brakes and rotor. First of all only do one side at a time. It has been awhile since I did one, but I believe the manual says to use a tool to drive the inboard shaft out this is to hold the gear in the trans axel That is if you are replacing he one on the left side. The tool number is:T81P-4026-A. This tool will hold the differential gear in place from the right side into the left. What I do is forget the manual. If I am doing both I do the right one completely, that means the brakes and all back on. Then I start on the left. If you sharply pull on the half shaft it will come out. I mean this for both sides. The manual talks about levers and stuff to pry them out but you can hardly get a pry tool in there. I put NAPA top quality brake pads on at the same time. If you want to try to use a tool to drive the left side out you need to look into the hole after the right side is out, you will see a pin running up and down. You can slide a flat piece of steel that is one inch wide along side of this and rap on the bar with a hammer. Take my work for it ppulling them out is the easiest. You are not going to rebuild the old old. Simply return the old one for your core charge. By my method do only one side at a time though.

its less complicated to purely replace the entire cv joint with a rebuilt on. than it will be to purely get rid of the cv joint and appears like they instructed you wisely its no longer that complicated once you've carried out one.
