As of yesterday, I am 3 cm dilated. Today, when I used the restroom and wiped, there was a brownish bloody "show". I called my doctor and thats what he said it was. Anyways, I have had mild contractions for 2 days now. And yesterday, my doctor felt the baby's head. My doctor says any time now. What do ya'll think?

Answer mom is right...don't listen to whoever it was that was talking about mucus plugs and infections... You're fine. You're basically a time bomb...lol there isn't anyone that can tell you when this is gonna happen...except of course...your baby...he/she will let you know when it's time...although my guess would be...it should be pretty soon here...just pay attention to the consistancy of those mild contrations...if they start following a pattern and start getting stronger...you may want to call the doc again and see if he want's you to come in.

It could happen at any time now, or in a few weeks. You didn't say how many weeks along you are.
I was 3cm at 34 weeks, and each week she said I would have a baby before the week was up. I had her at 37 weeks. So it took three weeks at 3cm! And I was 100% effaced all three of those weeks. So it could be soon, or it could be in a few weeks. No way to tell.
Also, about the person who posted "I dont understand why your doctor wasnt a little more worried. Once the mucous plug is lost you are more prone to infection." I don't think that's quite true. You're more prone to infection after your WATER has broken, but not after you've lost your mucous plug, I don't think.
Good luck!

commonly (examine commonly, i visit't communicate for all women), once you're in lively hard work, no remember what you do with your self (walk, lay down, drink, take a bath, sit down, examine, etc) the contractions stay a similar and do not lavatory down. So attempt some issues. the most proper is to position on your left area after eating some water. in the journey that they decrease or pass away, that's not lively hard work. yet in the journey that they stay, it really is time to initiate timing them. in the journey that they are customary, meaning any area of time between them is such as the gap between those earlier (even even if it really is quarter-hour), you're in lively hard work. it ought to easily be the start. have you ever had any blood? if so, it really is an indication of lively hard work. Watch those contractions or maybe as they get to 5 minutes aside, head to the hospital. in case you're quite uncomfortable, you could pass in any respect, merely to get a photo of what is going to be happening. yet for now, computer screen and get stuff waiting.

I dont understand why your doctor wasnt a little more worried. Once the mucous plug is lost you are more prone to infection. I would imagine you labor is active just not progressing as fast as you or your doc would like. Some pregnancies are like that. I would say you will have the baby.:>:>:>:>:>:>:>:>: 09/09/06 @3:21am....and Good luck! Please let me know if i am right too.!
