because the govt knows they are walking on thin ice with their aspirations of power .. and if the cat ever gets out of the bag they need a way to control a revolting population so they dont lose their power ... and there are over 600 prison camps in this country ... all staffed and ready for prisoners .. if you as an american think you are safe from ur govt then you are living in a fantasy world ... we are hanging by a thread and are one step away from a total dictatorship in this country ...think about it ... all it would take is one more terrorist strike in the US ... it doesnt matter who does it the govt or "them" ... and we will have martial law in this country ...anyone who doesnt go along with that and wants to resist will be rounded up ... the camps could also be used in the event the economy collapses because of said terrorist attack or other reasons ... there would be widespread unrest and dissent ... just look at Katrina ... think about that on a national level ... so they round up populations and disarm and relocate them ... dont think it can happen in the good ol us of a? you better start looking at what the criminals in the whitehouse are doing and the laws they are setting up to "protect" you or ur going to wind up in a labor camp ... but i know i know ... just flip on the TV and absorb some more mindless BS and lies and dont bother looking at what is happening around you and thinking for yourself....

We actually don't have concentration camps in the US.
We do have the remains of camps from WWII, where Japanese people were forcibly placed (and don't even get me started on that!), but the remains of those camps have just been left as memorials, more or less.
If you are speaking of Guantanamo Bay detention center, then that is technically US soil, as we have a lease from the Cuban government for that land, but it is not located in one of the 50 states that make up the US. And that is technically a detention center. I don't agree with that, either, but that's a different topic.
All other places where people are being held in the US are prisons or jails or some other form of legal detention center.
It has been 60 years since we put people in concentration camps in this country. I hope it never, ever happens again.
And after I answered and posted, I saw your link. Read the fine print. Those are there so that if Martial Law is declared, which only happens in situations of extreme emergencies, the government has a place to put people. If there should be a huge natural disaster, people would be relocated to those camps, I would imagine. They should probably be more correctly termed transient relocation camps, not concentration camps. They are there so that Americans have a place to go if all hell should break loose.
The memories of WWII are still vivid in our collective psyche, even if we did not live through that period ourselves. I think that if the government suddenly decided to forcibly relocate a segment of the population to one of those places, such as all people of Italian descent, or all Buddhists, they (the government) would be in for a lot of trouble. I just really cannot imagine people putting up with it, not in light of what happened in the European concentration camps during WWII.

What's more interesting is that at my Kentucky State Government computer I am using the majority of sites related to the camps have been blocked by the government. It must be preparation for when the Antichrist takes over and implements the whole mark of the beast program. Interesting. Time to sell some stuff to make room for more guns and ammo.

this is why - There over 600 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards, but they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States.

There AREn't 'concentration camps' in the US. What a silly question. There haven't been concentration camps since FDR put American citizens of Japanese origin in them.
And the claims in the e-rag you cite are probably not true.
This is a lie, and a pathetic one at that. Yet this bogeyman seems to scare the less intelligent of our species.

Because Bush has no clothing, scruples, decency or powers of persuasion. And, he certainly has absolutely no idea what he is doing. So I say, forgive him after the punishment and let him go back into the National Guard. Maybe they will lose him like they lost, hic, the original records.

Where did you get that BS piece of disinformation? The usual problem in the US is judges letting people out who should be in prison not sending people into imprisonment.
