I think Las Vegas is the world's biggest rip-off for the following reasons:
1.) Everything is cleverly disguised to take your money, and lots
of it. The casinos themselves are giant hoover vacuums
for the sole purpose of seperating you from your money. Only
seniors, and mind-numbed seniors at that, could possibly find
1000's of slots ringing in the Key of C at the same time entertaining.
2.) The shows are way overpriced. Get real! $100 a ticket is
normal now everywhere. Sigfried and Roy were the first to
charge$100, now everything's $100+.
3.)The food is way overpriced. Didn't it seem like yesterday
when food specials(SURF AND TURF $7.99) were everywhere?
Now you have to be rich as emeril to buy a burger!
4.) Every major resort is essentially a giant shopping mall,.
disguised as a theme(forum shops, venetian, wynn's, NYNY,
etc.), with a thrill ride attached. You can get the same visceral
thrill by walking around the Mall of America
5.)Airport slots,to suck whats left

I lived in Vegas for 12 years and drove a cab for 7 of them and by the way it's about 30 miles x 30 miles if you count all directions, Henderson, North Las Vegas, about 25 High Schools, 200 7-11's, multitude of everything in our franchised world, so don't be stupid and say stuff like (so do you all sleep under the crap tables, like the strip is all there is to Vegas The strip is a very small part of it all. There is water parks, in door GO carts, In door shooting ranges OF THE STRIP( Canadians Love This). If you don't need the expense of the strip go to Downtown(FREMONT)I Know The Plaza was just remodeled, it's about five blocks of covered walking outdoor mall, with a LED light show on the ceiling every hour music in tune with video, 2 permanent stages with live bands on the weekends, cool and inexpensive rooms/Food, The South Point to the south about 3 miles from Mandalay Has 64 lanes of bowling, Multiplex theaters, An equestrian arena, great hospitality all in one place, all I am saying is options to the main strip

I live in Las Vegas and yes the slots are rigged . The computer sets payouts so the casinos won't go under. Its called percentage . There rigged There should be no percentage of payouts . It should be like the real days where the wheels landed ,Now the slots are set to only pay out a percentage payout . Setting the main computer to control the payout is not gambling its STEELING from us by the use of a fixed computer system to control the slot machines. I played the real slots in the past where you have no other wires going in the slots except for running lights and the electric motor to pay out your money. Mo computer controlled. I used to win good until the casinos all over the world changed to only pay out so much and the rest for stock holders that live out of state and the Indian Reservations the USA Government gets a good tax payout from the Indians. Uncle Sam is going to get his cut on everything. Again all slots are a percentage payout not chance like it should be. And no I don't paly anymore because of the Casinos cheating.

on top of the already expensive tickets to go bc itis always travel season down there. No breaks at all, but if you save and spend wisely then it should not be a problem.

You just don't know where to look. Stay off the strip. Much better and cheaper.

I don't think it's a rip off, mainly because I don't go there to waste my money.
