Yes you could. You can have a "False Negative" test but not a "False Positive". The hormone which causes a pregnancy test to show positive on a home testing kit may not show for many weeks after conception causing the "false negative" result. The only way to be certain is to visit your GP (who will treat you in total confidence and not inform your parents/guardian if that is your wish) and have a urine sample sent to the labratory in your local hospital. This is more effective and accurate than home testing.

I think it depends when you do the test, when I was preg my first test was negative but I did it when I was only a week late. If you are now six weeks late and did the test in the last week say, then chances are it is correct unless you managed to get a dodgy test. I'd just do another one to make sure or go see your gp.

It is possible I went through the same thing and even when I finally got a positive result on a visit to the hospital due to bleeding, even there test did not pick up the pregnancy. I would insist on a blood test this should identify a pregnancy or not. Through being late can be a number of underlined problems or illnesses from stress to simply not eating correctly. See a doctor and put your mind at rest.

it is possible that you are pregnant, i know someone who kept getting negative tests until they was 4 months pregnant, the best thing to do is get a blood test. there are many other reasons though why you have not go a period, drastic weight loss, stress, change of diet, illness. so either way you need to see a doctor to see why you are not having a period.

Yes.

Go to a doctor or a clinic nearby and get tested. Go to Planned Parenthood if one is in your area. Get some sort of medical test to confirm. Your period can be late for MANY reasons, not just pregnancy. But you want to know for sure now rather than later.

Good luck...

You should do another home test and then if that's negative and you're still unsure go to your GP. also if you really want to be pregnant your body can play nasty tricks on you too so it might just be wishful thinking. Sorry, if that's what it is sweetie.

I would not trust that test.....I would either have a blood test done or do another test closer to being 2 months late. If you are, see a doctor right away though.

No, you're not pregnant. You have an irregular period cycle that's all. Nothing to worry about. I have the same thing. It depends on most women. Some have normal and some have irregular. But if you're still worried go and see your doctor.
