Lower prices by raising taxes. Listen to yourself. Part of the $2.29 per gallon is taxes inflicted by Clinton and our Gov. Ann Richards (D).

I don't know where you live, but in my neighborhood gas has dropped 57 cents in 3 weeks. While we may not like it the market does work if given time. Don't get me wrong, I think prices were artificially inflated, but in a free market economy these situations right themselves. Additionally, the idea that raising taxes would lower prices is ridiculous. Anyone who believes that higher taxes would bring down the price needs to take a basic economics course.

By stopping to meddle in other nations' affairs, thereby increasing oil prices so's their chums can make more profit, and by seriously advancing the development of alternative energies. Also by encouraging their citizens to use oil carefully. That's where I start to think high prices might not be a bad thing altogether....

Maybe if Republican owned maltinational corperation did not move to China etc. and cause China`s etc economy to grow and cause the demand for gas to rise and we saved nothing at Wal-Mart
