One of the first dates me and my now husband went on was at that Japanese restuarant on the second floor of the Emirates towers. We made reservations at a Tapinakki table. It was such a fun night. We were there for hours eating and drinking. I hadn't had sushi or much Japanese food before so I was so impressed and it is such a nice place. As for a night club I just love Rock Bottoms but I don't think that is a good date place as it is packed and everyone is hammered. If you have the bucks though you could take her to that lounge in Burj al Arab where they mix cocktails by asking you a bunch of questions.
Ooooh, or you could go on one of those Dhow Dinner cruises. Those are sooo romantic. We went on one and the food was great and it was such a nice atmophere.

the weather is getting a bit cooler so you could consider a walk along the beach or the creek - what about a ride across the creek on the abra and a walk around the souke
or if its too hot go to Madinat and walk around the stalls there and finish off for drinks at Left Bank or a coffee shop
you could go to Emirates mall and do the skiing or bowling on shk zayeed road

Afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab is good. It's a bit formal but she'll be impressed! Make sure you book.

write down a few options on where to go on seperate pieces of paper and then when your date arrives, have her draw the suggestions out of a hat. that way it's more random- do one or all of them.

Just take her somewhere where there is a great view or somewhere to sit and talk . . . anything that isn't too impersonal. You don't want to feel like your not even on a date.
