four, as noted.

"Christopher Columbus (Italian: Cristoforo Colombo; Spanish: Cristóbal Colón) (c. 1451–May 20, 1506) was a Genoese navigator and admiral whose four transatlantic voyages in the service of Spain (in 1492–1493, 1493–1496, 1498–1500, and 1502–1504) opened the Americas to European exploration and colonization. History places great significance on his discovery of America in 1492, although he did not actually reach the mainland until his third voyage in 1498."

ZERO! columbus never set foot nor did he "discover" America! many different countries visited America hundreds, nay, thousands of years prior to the goomba's supposed discovery!
The only reason that he gets all the glory is due to well worked public relations from the Italians!

Never.

He made all his trips to the Caribbean area. He went there about four times and on his last trip, he didn't go back. He Visited those islands, but never America. (The man who discovered it was Amerigo Vespucci; see the relation?)
