I should think you of all people would understand why a woman wouldn't want to get married and have children when you'd ask the previous question about your husband being too tired to take his wife and small child anywhere. Some women believe they don't need a husband or child to make their lives fulfilling. Oprah, has a marvelous career, and bundles of money. What could a spouse and child offer her that you think she is in need of? How would having a spouse and child fulfill her life? That is really her decision to make. Also, the desire to have, or not have a spouse and children is completely unrelated to hetero, bi, or homosexual preferences. The answers people gave with regards to such preferences are undoubtedly some of the most ignorant and biased I've heard!!!!

If I were getting paid like Oprah, I wouldn't want some man in my pockets asking for gas money, McDonald's money, money to get his S-Curl redone, I'm broke and I don't want to get married, I don't blame her! She can still get her "swerve" on and don't have to worry about brokeback Stedman trying to get half, if you know what I mean... As far as kids, Oprah is WAY too busy to try to act as a mother to a child. She's better off waiting until her career dies down a bit, and then adopt a (some) child (ren) from Africa.

Oprah is to previous to have toddlers now and she or he would not want to be married. It appears like a grasping question who cares who receives her funds with any success she does some thing large with it and leaves it to solid charities like a baby's wellbeing facility.

too much to share if she does that... anyway why does she want to get married when she has had stedman for this long? her pets are her kids. I also think that she is scared that her kids may have the same difficulties she had growing up. You know she is a great lady and really it is none of our business, she is being the best she can be and that is all that matters.

She is a lesbian. She made me sick when she had George Michael on her show and they all laughed it up about his sick encounter in the public park mens room (when he got busted for masturbating). Great fun to laugh about something deviant like that huh?! If I would have walked in on that with one of my children I think I would have hit him.
And look at how much she likes Tom Cruise. He is gay too isn't he?

I think that she thinks that it'll slow down her career. She probably has a goal set in her mind, and children, family, marriage, wouldn't work. She's thinking about how, if SHE embarrasses herself, then it's on her. But if her husband or child(ren) embarrass her, the it's a whole nother story.

She and Steadman got married last I heard. No children probably because she's too busy w/her show.

I'm sure it is all about the money.....If she had to split her money in half due to a divorce she would only have a gazillion dollars left. Can you blame her? LOL
