It won't happen. It's called blind faith. Reality makes no difference.

If the US gets attacked, people rally behind the leader. If the US doesn't get attacked, regardless of why, they think Bush is doing a good job,.

People doen't care that he breaks the law. They don't care he's betrayed his oath of office. They don't care he's violated the constitution. They don't care he's said that his actions are beyond judicial review and the courts have no authority over him. They don't care that he's told Congress that he will ignore any law he doesn't like. They don't care what he's done or not done.

It's called blind faith. They don't care what he's done. And never will.

{EDIT to Leogirl0804} Thank you for proving my point about blind faith, and utter ignorance regarding the facts and the law.

They won't .. .. but it isn't only their fault. If you tell a lie long enough and often enough .. people begin to believe anything. Plus, for reasons I can not fathom .. the Democrats remain totally silent. They have lost their balls. Look at the "Federal Minimum Gov't Pay" Issue.. What is the minimum wage now ? Something like $5.35 an hour or so ?? And it has not been raised in over 10 years .. or close to that . Which, when taken with a reasonable, factual inflation rate of at least 3 to 4% a year.. in todays dollars.. that would make the actual Fed. Minimum Pay .. (when considering cost of living increases and inflation) .. it probably equals about $3.25 in todays dollars. Probably less. Yet.. the Republicans won't even allow for a new Minimum Federal Wage of $6.50 an hour . and I believe that was to be phased in over a period of another 3 to 5 years. In todays dollars.. the minimum wage should be at least $8.50 an hour .. just to equal the current minimum wage of $5.35 an hour. So where are the Democrats in all this ? Where are their guts ? Why aren't they grabbing the Republicans by the balls .. like Gene Hackman did in the movie Mississippi Burning .. with that dumb , red neck , s***-kicker ? .. WHERE IS THE DEMOCRATS VOICE ?? .. Until they speak up . people will continue to follow the republicans and the Bush admin. like sheep . because they feel they have no other choice.

Not a Bush follower - just a realist. Most of our challenges in the US have been a long time coming. Through several administrations, each forming their own name in history. None have been put to the test as this administration.

Just where does everyone think we would be today if someone else had taken the presidency? Does anyone have any legitimate answers or changes we can make to get us back on track? Haven't heard any. From either party. Just a bunch of blah-blah-blah.

This will be Bush's last term and I hope who ever takes the next election, makes everything just great. Hope so, but I really don't think so.

I'm still trying to figure out where you find this 'incompetence', and why you people ask such worthless questions.

If you wanted to pick one policy at a time and examine it and debate it, fine.

But these sorryass spewings about his 'incompetence' and 'stupidity' are just hourly parroting of the same questions that have been asked every day here for years.

You know, there is no handbook for being president, for running the country, for dealing with foreign affairs and events of the world. It is mostly a reactive thing, and you have to rely on the advice of your experts and your instincts, always under the shadow of public opinion.

He's had successes, he's had failures, he's had what I like to call 'learning opportunities', and so has every other president before him. He is neither more or less competent than his predecessors. To claim so is to show an ignorance of history.

I agree with Corygraph, I've almost at the point of giving up on the Yahoo Answers Politics members, ever question I posed are questions designed to make people think but from the answer I get, blind faith is the best way to put it. I seriously think that IF the US eventually get into WWIII during Bush's term, these people will still be cheering for him even as they are being drafted. Some people are so team oriented that it doesn't matter what he does, what he says, as long as he's on THEIR team, that's all it matters. I say enough with these people, they are not worth saving.

And to J&C, I am a citizen of this country, if you don't think that entitles me to have voice in what my government does and how it represent me, then maybe it is time I move to Europe.

this is simple ~ according to bushs followers (sounds like a cult huh?) he is doing pretty good and the main reason is because he making them more money and getting their pockets bigger ~ so y would they want to get rid of someone who is doing them a favor??? the only ppl who think bush is incompetent is the poor ppl or the ppl who arent lucky enough to be helped by bushs administration and which is ppl like me ~ and i support your statement of him being incompetent and there is a LOT of supporting facts (which i wont get into because not enough time on my hands ~ lets just say he's a C average student who is illiterate and has the mentality of a 1 yr old ~ i mean honestly who chokes on a pretzel? )

When we see the terrs sawing your head off with a rusty knife on TV. That will happen when we quit fighting and surrender to them, like the Democrats want to do. I'd rather have an allegedly-incompetent (and he isn't) President fighting them than a slick, "say what works right now" lib appeasing them.

All we need is a majority to get them out of the white house.
When clinton lied they had him demonized. When Bush lies he is a hero.
When Nixon did wire taps they had him inpeached.
When Bush did wire taps it was for the good of the country.
The list is endless no other president has gotten away with breaking the law like he has.

It boils down to ideology.
These people repeat a mantra daily which goes something like this:
"Bush is god...Bush is god..."

You get the idea.
They DON'T think for themselves.
They let the all-important party do that for them.
Not unlike the way Lenin and Hitler ruled in their day.
Remember - the masses are asses!
And where all think alike, no one thinks very much.
