Grandads birthday is next week and I thought it would be nice to compile a music cd for him.
He is 65. He was born in Germany but has lived in England for 50 years.
Do any of you kind people have any good suggestions.
I've already got 'Grandad', by Clive Dunn
and 'When I'm 64', by the Beatles (I know its a year late).
Any suggestions would be helpful. Ta.

Sorry mate your joke CD is gona go down like the proverbial "lead balloon" think for a whole second does he really want to hear "when I am 64" and that abortion by Clive Dunn. Right he was born in Germany in 1941, not that an auspicious a start, how about searching the web for images of his birth place before the war started or if he has been here since he was 15 stuff from those years? Music is a young persons thing. Memories are for us older citizens. Your call all he can do is cut you out of his will.

Do you know what kind of music he likes? That would make a difference probably, in helping you search for music. Try searching for music from when he was a kid in the 50's maybe.
I made a CD for my boyfriend's dad cus he really likes older country, otherwise I'm not sure.
I'm sure he'll love whatever you compile for him!

Any music from his childhood or teenager years should suffice music from the 40s and 50s, How about asking him what music he likes and go on from there but don't tell him why you are asking. if he does ask tell him it's for a project at school.
