Well, Amazon says that good books of a similar topic are:

But if you want something different, Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell is the best new (as in last couple of years) book I've read for a while. Also The Bookseller of Kabul by Asne Seierstad is quite interesting. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer is a pretty easy but good read as well.

And finally the Kingdom of Fear by Hunter S. Thompson will open your eyes, scare you (especially if you live in america), amuse you and give you a new best author.

The Vietnam book(referring to Fallen Angels), if so excellent choice, anyways, Seperate Peace by John Knowles, The Moon is Down by John Stienbach, Hamburger Hill, Red Badge of Courage, Travels with Charley by John Stienbach, Flyboys, The Graveyard Shift by Jack Higgins, and I know there's others, but I've read so many and sometimes forget the names of them. Hope this helps some. God Bless!

Is there such a thing as a bad book? People will read anything and whether they agree with the book or not, it doesn't make it a bad book. Therefore, all books are good books!

I second Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, or anything by him actually.
I also second Clive Cussler, starting with Atlantis Found (you don't need to read them in order by any means.)
