Yahoo does not offer voice alert sound.

Yes- it is called "alert". On the yahoo home page, on the left side there is a list (column) of yahoo services. At the bottom is a yellow bar that says "More Yahoo! Services" Click that. On the page it brings you to, there will be 4 boxes. The lower right is called "communications" The second choice under communications is "alerts" click that, then click "mail".
Nope- sorry I lied- this alerts your cell phone. Oops

There is no option on Yahoo! Mail that will say "You've got mail". Unfortunately, you just have to keep refreshing your inbox, and look to see if you have any new messages! Hope this helped.

If you have Yahoo Messenger running, it will give you notice everytime you get a new email.

Yahoo toolbar will tell you if you have mail.
