The issues of War and Peace, Social Security, Medicare, Medical, General Welfare and so on that redistributes money back to the people that need it the most, and deserve it the most also.
The Republicans are stuck in this idea of ownership without responsibility. Each and every human has a right to the air and the earth. If you just share those two things, you have a lot more equal distribution of the goods. Everytime some takes gold out of the ground, a certain percentage of that gold belongs to each person. It should go to subsidize the Government. And then the Government would be able to service the public appropreatly.
The way it is now, a lot of rich people have ownership of the land which they do not deserve anymore than anyother human being.

I get most of my political information from the internet. I find that there is too much of a liberal bias in the traditional media (i.e. tv, papers, radio). With the internet I have a better chance of sifting through the reports and find the actual news and not someone else’s opinion or filtered interpretation of the news. There is, however, the possibility, from the internet, of getting a hold of some unsubstantiated information that could turn out to be false. That is one of the biggest risks of relying on a medium that is so open that allows so many people the ability to falsify and fabricate information. I just try to stick to trusted sources as much as possible and not rely on spam from friends and relatives too much :-).

I read the press briefings on the white house web site, read the google news, subscribe to "The Week" magazine, and sometimes public radio. I try to catch some international news broadcasts also, and watch all the sunday news shows. Each evening I watch the News Hour on PBS.

After separating fact from fiction I find that I am a moderate liberal, like most people in the world.

TV, Radio, Reading the Paper, Internet, Government reports, Speeches, Friends, family and magazines. I spend as much time reading between the lines as I do reading the lines themselves.

I am influenced by obvious lies, obvious truths, obvious corruption, obvious socialism, government waste, pandering, posturing, blathering, cheap shots, trading national security for political gain, obstructionism, do I need to go on?

well... tv (usually headline news, a little CNN, Fox News and MSNBC sprinkled in), then newspapers (quite a bit of AP), a lot of Yahoo! news (it has news from many different sources in one area, which is cool), reports (I like to watch the census especially and dod releases) and I listen to what my friends say and try to look it up on my own (you can never truly trust what one other person says on it's face, they are human) ... I also use wikipedia as a general source of older information (which I take with some hesitation, but most things are cited from other sources that are pretty decent, kind of an info clearing house)...

I guess my allignment is decided by the things I have experienced and the things I have learned... I grew up in a very poor area.. and I'm doing ok now...

that's about it overall...

TV, radio, Internet, Government sites, Friends. My pocket book, my beliefs and my ethics influence my alignment with my party.

Radio (NPR)

I have no party alignment. But today what influences my vote more then anything has been who does the most badmouthing without giving me any alternative solutions.

It's not enough just to say the other guy is wrong. You have to tell me what you would do different.

The Daily Show!

Just kidding. Internet (cnn.com mostly) and television morning and evening news. My alignment with a party is that party's policy, legislation they introduce and the way they vote on legislation. For example, when the republicans introduced a gay marriage amendment several weeks ago to draw attention away from W and his bumbling and incompetent administration.
