If this is true , it doesn't make sense. First Democrats nor Republicans have a thing to do with gas prices. Now Clinton , after the gas shortage in the 90's, did add a federal gas tax.The only thing government can do to lower gas prices is to lower or get rid of the federal gas tax. As far as raising other taxes - seems to me , if that is what the Dem's' are saying , is just another way to screw the American people by lying. The price of goods have already gone up due to the price of diesel fuel, big trucks don't run on regular gas. A good question is , Why is the price of diesel so high when its no more than gas scum , and should be cheap as dirt.

No. First enable's define entitlements as easiest those 2: Social protection and Medicare. In a worldwide of maximum effective own wellbeing assurance the situation coverage p.c. and be certain upon their clientele (as is typically appropriate at recent) , the elderly ought to get no coverage. In a worldwide of strikes $one hundred,000 in user-friendly terms the wealthy elderly could get care. something could undergo and die. truthfully Medicare will improve the conventional of residing for all recipients. The a million.sixty 5% paid with the help of way of all the corporate and worker is money good spent and could upload next to no longer something to our user-friendly of residing if it have been in our wallet or in company earnings. Social protection insures a dignified retirement. maybe that payroll tax prevents each individual from paying for a clean motor vehicle this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days rather of next or no longer spending on a trip - however the synthetic is destitute seniors who bypass begging interior the streets. once you have been in contact approximately that tax lowering our standard of residing then why for a 2nd tolerate IRA'a and 401K's? Does that no longer take money out of the economy? what's the version despite if this is voluntary or a 'tax'. this is money you do no longer choose on the instant.

The Dems don't want to lower gas prices by raising taxes; that's something conservative republican people say without any knowledge of what anyone stands for.
Everyone wants to lower gas prices, but we really have little control over it. Prices are set and controlled by OPEC, which uses a complex system of supply and demand economics to determine the price per barrel of oil. Both Dems and Repubs have offered suggestions in easing the price burden, but quite simply, all other countries are experiencing the same price hike and are dealing with it.
My suggestion; trade in your Hummer/Escalade/Expedition or whatever for something reasonable.

They don't want lower gas prices.
The Democrats caused the high price of oil by stopping us from drilling in Anwr and off shore.
They just lie and hope we are dumb enough to believe them.
Playing Politics.

I haven't heard that strategy.
I don't see how raising taxes or the price of other goods would have any effect on the price of gasoline.
Unless, of course, the extra profit were to be given to the struggling oil companies to subsidize their loses if they actually did lower their outrageous prices.
mmmmm.........somehow, that wouldn't surprise me.

its clearly good.
by lowering the prices at the pump and on heating oil it will lower costs. and by raising taxes it returns the money. sure you might beleive that its pointless. but let me ask you, which do you do more? buy gas and/or heating oil? or pay taxes?
