my baby's daddy and i have an agreement on his visitation dates and how much he gives me for child support on a monthly basis... he began giving me the checks on the 3rd of the month, which was fine...then all of a sudden he started giving them to me at the end of the month on which ever day he decided. i asked him if he could please start giving them to me again on the 3rd because i need a set date of when i receive them.
is that unreasonable of me? then he told me that he'll see me in court....why? if we have an agreement.....i also let him know that he will be screwed if we do go to court because he will be giving me A LOT more than he does now.....
am i unreasonable? or should i just wait til' he takes me to court?

to let Monty know.. i will be very sure of myself because $300 is NOTHING.....absolutely NOTHING. alone with those $300 i can buy formula....what about the rest of the month....

From the details you give, Yes, he is being a jerk, it is not unreasonable for you to want the cash at the same time each month, you have a child to support and you have to know when the money is coming in so you know what bills to pay when, when you can afford to buy diapers and food, all that stuff. If he wants to be a jerk about it then let him take you to court, but he will end up paying a bit more then he is now.

I think that you are being to nice but I would just wait and let him take you to court because your agreement that you have may change a lot. I have been through a divorce so just make sure that you understand everything that you are doing and that he doesn't try to get out of paying more money just do what is best for your child.

I dont think your unreasonable at all. A lot of men seem to act this way. They get upset that they have to pay for their own children. Bills have to be paid by a certain date and its not at all unreasonable to need/want to know when you will receive the money. Let him screw himself by taking you to court.

He may be having trouble coming up with the $. If he insists on court, so be it, but it likely will cost him more. Also, if you go to court, FOC will dock his paycheck, and you will end up getting the $ at the same time every month.
Don't worry about it. Let him take you to court.

Oh, just let him dig himself a hole. He's gonna end up probably paying more and have to owe arrears and probably pay for a paternity test. In my case, mine owed arrears because I filed for child support in May but they didn't have hearing on how much he had to pay until 6 months later, so he had to pay all that back because they believe he should of been paying something anyways.

That's a rhetorical question, right? You know the answer better than anyone here. Are you asking permission from us to screw his butt to the wall? You got my permission to go ahead and do what you need to do to take care of the child.

Don't be so sure you will get more. If he can prove it you may get a lot less. Are you willing to take that risk. Also if he can prove the amount he has already given you that will be deducted from what he has to pay you.
