When writing a essay do you put "...." or this '....' for saying a line from a poem. Also do i leave with the rest of the sentence or does it get it's own line like

u have to use the ... if u are not including the rest of the sentence, to show there is more afterwards. u only use single quotes ' ' when someone is speaking, INSIDE of a quote! like this:

"That is when Kitty said, 'If ever to were one, then surely we...'"
