YES! I can totally relate to you. I've been engaged for almost a year now, and I'm totally dying to be pregnant, even though I know we're not ready for it (financially or otherwise). For some people, I think this after you get married because it's the "natural" step after marriage that society thinks should happen. It's the fairy tale---get married, get a nice house, and have beautiful babies. That stuff can get to us even if we don't realize it.

You're just in love and happy. Nothing wrong with that. And a word to the wise, no need to wait until you're ready for children as they are very inexpensive as youngsters. It's when they hit the age to use laptops, cellphones, go to tumbling, football, motorcycles, etc that they get expensive. No need to wait, at all. Just be a stay at home mom. Sacrifice the new BMW and have a baby. Nothing better than a newborn and nothing brings a marriage together like children, when there's love there to begin with. You've got that part nailed down. Go for it.

As a married woman with 4 kids: I'd advise you to wait to have children. Focus on your husband and your new lives toghther. Travel. Stay up late and sleep all day. Walk around naked. Make a "to-do" list and then DO those things. You only get to have him all to your self now. Once children are in the picture your focus is altered for at least 18 years. I only wish someone had told me that 12 years ago. Hope that helps, hon.

If you are really thinking about it that much, maybe you are more ready then you think. You and your husband should really sit down and talk, heart to heart about kids and where you see yourselves in the next few years. I can honestly say, I was not financially or anything else ready for kids. But when it finally happened every thing fell into place and we were more then ready for it.

I couldn't wait to have kids, but in retrospect I'm glad we did.
