The same thing happened to me. My husband was with his ex-wife for 12 years. I was the first serious relationship he had had after the divorce. Despite the fact I was enamored by him I couldn't stand one more conversation that started with "when Cindy and I" So I lost it and acted totally immature. I started yelling Cindy! Cindy! Cindy! (think Brady Bunch). Anyways after my little outburst he got the point and we talked a little more calmly about it. I am not recommending you act as foolishly as I did, but tell him how you feel. If he loves and respects you he will understand and try to accommodate your needs.

Don't feel crazy, at some point in all of our lives we end up where you are at, unfortunately we can go there more than once, I am living proof. Sometimes I find myself constantly bring up my ex, it's not because I am thinking of him, it's because he hurt and surprised me so bad. The reader's digest says that if you want a friendship with the opposite sez with no "real" feelings involved you have to find at least one remotely disgusting thing about them, does he? The children, well that's natural, just be supportive. It is probably honestly nothing, just let him know you are feeling insecure, if a talk doesn't help, then a further investigation is definately needed. Good luck!

No, you are not crazy. But, I do think that you are a little insecure in your relationship. I am sort of in the same situation, but am older and don't have children involved. The ex is part of the past, and there were experiences, so why not talk about them. It was before you, but it all existed. As long as your partner loves you, just learn to relax. You are together now. You need to learn to relax.

You are in one of the hardest spots in the world, that of a "step" Even if your not married to the man, you have a role in his children's lives, and therefore you will have to deal with hearing about "her". Unfortunately theres no way around that. He sounds like a good man and a great father, especially making sure that grandma is not punished because of his feelings for the ex. Love him, love him and the kids.......... and if that's not enough, you may have to step away, because if their should ever be marriage between you, you'll still have to deal with the ex issues and grandma. You're going to have to listen to your heart and make a choice accordingly.

Stop letting his ex's "ghost" haunt you, so to speak. She's just a bad memory as far as you're concerned. He is with you, and yes he has kids,so she will always be "in the picture" somewhat, but as long as he loves you, and is devoted to you, don't let her ruin a good thing. Don't waste your time thinking about something as unimportant, as an ex. Best of luck to you.

An unfortunate side affect of the fact that this country's morals are in a sad state. No, you are not going crazy; you are crazy. And so is about 90% of this country.

Maybe you should sit down and talk to your partner about how you feel , you might get some satisfaction from this then.
