I'm 25 weeks pregnant, and I get up at least 5 times a night, having to pee really bad!! And like you said, it's not just a trickle! During the day it usually isn't as bad.

In the beginning of my pregnancy, it was a lot worse than now. By the time you are in your second trimester it will slow down (the baby moves up some), but once you get into your third trimester, it will get even worse! That baby will be pushing on your bladder because he/she is growing a lot and moving down to get ready to come out.

try not drinking anything an hour before you go to sleep. It usually takes about an hour for water to go through your system.

Good luck and congrats! Trust me, you aren't the only one experiencing this!

It is normal in the first trimester as well as the last. I dont think I have had to go every 1/2 hour, but sometimes pretty close to it. It probably does depend on how much you have drunk, I'm not really sure, or even maybe what you have drunk (if you drank tea, this is a diurectic) but definately if you have that symptom now, you will be going much more frequently. Good Luck.

Usually the frequency is later in the pregnancy, as the fetus presses on the bladder.

You should tell your doctor about this at your next checkup.
