Best song should transcend genre, format, and time. There are very few contenders from the last ten years, and only time can say how great those songs are.
My personal favorites are "Devil Went Down to Georgia," by the Charlie Daniels Band and "I Walk the Line," by Johnny Cash. Although I currently do not listen to country/western music, I find both of these songs resonate, across time, across formats, and stand as some of the greatest songs ever played on the radio.

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen (Rock)
The Harmonies and the multi-layered tracks are all the talent of the late Freddie Mercury.
This song has hit the charts twice, first upon its release and again 25 years later for the movie "Wayne's World". A must for any rock and roll fan's collection!
