If you choose to answer ALL questions, you get questions from all over the world (or at least english speaking countries.) not just from your region.

The world doesn't revolve around the UK. This is called Yahoo! Answers, not UK! Answers. When ANYONE asks a question or gives an answer, it is put on the open forum.

If you want to get questions that originate in the UK, go to the bottom of this page and click on the UK flag. That will filter out anything not from the UK.

Isn't it generic and world wide, and those in the UK just happen to get to the same yahoo answers through the UK version of Yahoo?

Have you tried keeping the Yanks' noses out of someone else's business? Look at Afghanistan and Iraq not to mention Downing Street.

I guess for the same reason that UK people get on the US version.....
I had to explain to 30 people last week how much a stone weighed....

UK can select Uk & Ireland or all english
US can select US or all english.
It is in the lower left of the answers screen. That is why- you must have yours set to all english questions.

I think it is all just intermixed. I've tried pressing Canada, or US at the bottom and just get back to here.
