Well. thats good that u got a residence permit of Dubai, UAE

& dont worry... take it easy

1- Make sure u have the invitation from ur friends or family relatives.

2- Make sure u have a original copy of , ur working place, ur bank statement... the AED 33,000-40,000 (Canadian $9,979-12,096) seems just fine to Satisfy the canadian Immigration officer, that u can support ur hoildays... Please dont tell them much about ur future plans & they may think that u will go there & stay 4ever as an Illegal Immigrate & than they mite reject ur visa 4 Canada.

3- Dont be panic... or show any unwanted looks... just be cool & answer the officer any question he asks, but dont talk too much unwanted stuff only short & no long explainations...please!!!

4- Book ur tickets & get ready to fly!!!... theres a direct flight to toranto on Etihad Airways.

HOPE DIS HELPS!

Just contact the Canadian embassy http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/abudhabi/contact-dubai-en.asp.

They will be able to tell you how to visit. As far as immigration I don't know but I think you can check the shorage lists. The thing is that they don't recognize some professions when they come from other countries but you never know. My husband immigrated as a chef. You may want to talk to an immigration lawyer.
