i'm glad ur thinking about this now. once u decide it'll help u streamline ur life. before high school is over, make sure u at least know what subject u like best and have a few career options selected.
unfortunately, it's very difficult for me to recommend anything without knowing u. here r some suggestions, & some questions u should ask urself.
1) what subject in school do u enjoy the most? if u don't like any...just base ur answer with the one that detests u the least or u do well in most of the time.
2) look into career options in relation to that field- go to the library. the librarian should have resources there for u.
3) picking a career is also about understanding urself. the only way to understand urself better is by trying lots of different things. for example, volunteer in a hospital or retirement home.
try to notice the following things about u:
-how much repetition can u take? (r u ok with doing the same thing over and over again?)
-how much thinking do u want on the job? (i.e. do u want something that challenges u a lot , a little, or not much at all?)
-do u like to work in groups or do independent-type of work?
-is a regular work schedule important for u? (i.e. mon-fri 9 am to 5:30 schedule vs a schedule that is sometimes am sometimes pm sometimes weekend sometimes weekday)
-how much would u like traveling? (keep in mind traveling sometimes involves going to places u don't want to and not having enough time to enjoy the city)
-how much studying r u willing to do beyond high school? (i.e. just 4 yrs of college or 4 yrs of college + 4 yrs of professional school?)
-how important is it to u that the job involves helping people directly? (i.e. doctor, nurse, teacher, etc.)
-what kinds of things do u detest doing? (i.e. blood grosses u out, sitting at a computer all day long, being in meetings, etc.)
-how patient r u? (i.e. can u keep explaining the same thing to the same person 5 times without getting irritated? can u keep trying to solve something when it takes u 100 attempts...like science experiments?)
-even if u lack certain personality traits for the job (like patience)...it's always possible for u to develop them. it's all a matter of how much u want to develop them.
4) get 2 different books that lists careers (bookstore or library). look through it and pick out some that interest u. read up about it with additional books about that career and the requirements/education that u need. then go talk to people in that field. u can even post a question about it here.
5) keep in mind- try to avoid thinking that there's a perfect job out there for u. all jobs have drawbacks and the key is to find one u tolerate the most and fits ur lifestyle. also there's a possiblity of changing careers too...the important thing once ur in college is to just pick one and work on it. (don't be an undecided major for long.)

My daughter faced the same quandary when she was in exactly the same year as you are now. She found it difficult to decide on what course she would take in college. So I told her to pick the one that would lead her to having a job that she would enjoy doing in the future. That did it!
She's now enrolled in a university and is quite contented with the course she has chosen.

I still don't know and I am a lot older then you.
A lot of people switch professions because they get bored easy.
Figure your strenghts and weaknesses.
What are you good at?
Are you good at Math? Work with numbers.
Are you good at health? Get in the medical profession.
Maybe you would like to be a salesman, or computer person.
Only you will know what interests you.

The first thing to do is an interest/career assessment. You can do a free one at this site: http://www.assessment.com/.
Once completed it will list some careers that are best suited for your interests and strengths. Hope this helps!

I do not understand your question. Are you 9 years old now or have you been at your job 9 years. What is your job? Re-submit please
