I THINK !!!-DIRECT -INSIGHT-DISH-INSIGHT- have chips or something, to let them know what we are tuning into too

They send out surveys to households and the households keep a diary for a week of everything that they watched. It cannot be that accurate though as I am sure they don't get 100% of the survey's back.
