Might be your Internet provider is having difficulties. Try back a little bit later and you'll probably be fine.
I agree, it's annoying.

Internet Explorer is quite easily the best browser. I think you may need to re-install. The fact that you have a critical error with the browser means that there is something wrong with the configuration.
I suggest you use AVG/Windows Firewall/Windows Defender as the products to protect your machine. The best thing about this is that it is the best for home use and iit is completely free :)

Internet explorer is a pile of S#$@. Download Firefox by mozilla. Alot better security and nicer features.
For this problem go to start press run and type in sfc /scannow
This will scan all of IE's files and find any problem files. You might need a windows CD's if it finds errors. Good Luck.

I have been having the same problem with this pc i am using now,so i switched to mozzila firefox(http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/),and i havent had a problem with it
I think internet explorers problems are due to incompatibility with certain websites, and also with flash animations,as this is when mine crashed
Firefox is just as good,if not better than internet explorer and also has downloadable plug-ins and themes,i also noticed a marked improvement in speed aswell
There is another good browser aswell, ace explorer(http://www.aceexplorer.com/),is based on the same code as microsofts internet explorer but dosent have all the bugs, this browser is even faster than firefox so if speed is your preference, choose ace explorer
good luck

I'd have to agree with wario 1998 - Explorer is crap and crashes all the time. It's nothing that you or your computer is doing. Firefox is a lot more dependable.

You might have picked up an IE hijack. You could try downloading and using HijackThis to see what addons IE has collected - you may be surprised. HijackThis is powerful and therefore dangerous to use - link to tutorial below.
Alternativly you could give up on IE and use something else instead like Firefox (I did).
