The feeling I get when I read through the typical questions asked on answers is that of culture shock. It may be because questions asked by users are not accompanied by context, but if I had to sum up the yahoo answers questions most of them seem shallow and fickle.

It is a bit like going through my mail box these days, full of spam with the occasional real e-mail interspersed in between.

Is this the result of such a wide varying age group or are we really fickle and worry about insignificant things like what should I wear and what shall I eat tonight?

Apologies if this question seems to be a put down. The 'we' in my inquiry is not coincidental.

A lot of people come here because they are lonely. There is something about the modern day world that gets people isolated from each other, and many people don't like the atmosphere of a bar. I think most people here are looking for enjoyable communication rather than a college education.

dude
why are you still hanging around?
YOU ANSWERED YOUR OWN Q - by the insulting first paragraph. You perceive people on here as shallow and fickle - why even ask then?

If you don't like it, go fly a kite.

PS: What should i eat tonight?

AMEN !!! It takes so long to find a liget "Q" .
I was just trying to form a similar "Q" because I get so tired of it .
The other shocking point is why do so many "Q" and answers need to be accusations or putting someone else down in order to build their own ego !!!

Your question 'grabbed' my attention -
Your statement cooled it -

Shallow and fickle? If that IS this reality ( negative - via your definition) then why do you participate? are you truly seeking to find and answer that 'rare' and 'real' inquiry???

I think it's people just asking the world through experience, those other askers are just stupid and wasting their time for those dumb questions
