Since you mentioned that the login account (login number, ID, etc...) belongs to you. Then YES, it is highly possible to track the person who sent the email, especially if he knows the physical location it was sent from.

All he has to do is go to that county library and ask them to provide him a log for all the users that access that computer at a given time.

So, be prepared to hear it from him.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I work at the library as a computer tech. Our records of who used what computer are wiped out during reboot at midnight. I doubt your library keeps records for more than a 24 hour period. Even if they do, there's no reason they would divulge that to your boss. It's confidential information and he would need a warrant.

Only if the library keeps a record of who was physically sitting at what computer at the time the message was send. And if they are willing to give him that information. Probably not, but get your resume updated...

actually trcking precise location is not possible, the resolution goes upto identifying a state(or town if it's a hub) but mail will have all the ip address details of which machine it originated from which servers it went through etc, so may be you are not fully caught(if your boss is not serious enough about filing a complaint with cyber crimes police)

one gud skip around is getting one of your relative boy/girl in the loop so that you can escape by saying that he/she regularly uses your library id and sends such mails to your friends in your organiser!!!

gud luck to you!!!

you would want to the contact my area and to be honest, the possibilities of them logging IP's for the 1000's of people that visit their website seems not likely, what they'de probably do is log the account and shop a watch on it when they logged in. this isn't something you may want to do remotely with out hacking myspace. in case you get her to deliver you an digital mail, mime extensions which will practice the position the unique digital mail got here from, you may hint IP's with this. i am going to make certain if i'll detect a coaching guide.

if message have an Internet Header. You will find the sender address and the host that process the mail.

-t Ping the specified host until stopped.
To see statistics and continue - type Control-Break;
To stop - type Control-C.
