YES!!!!!! it has happened to me,You can litteraly burn away the mucus membraine in your sinuses. The m.m. is the mucus that foreign bodies are attatched to,and carried away by the body.If the sinuses are irratated, there will be an access of m.m. discharge and you sinuses will be volnerable to foreign bodies.(I.E. dust, pollens thus,SINUSITUS!) I beleive this is a VIRAL infection which means no antibiotics will cure this. You can use OCEAN nasal conditioner,This will help sooth and rebuild your sinuses. In the mean time,Lots of vitamin C and zinc. bed rest.

yes bleach has clorine additives which is an irritant to the respiratory system. you should monitor your cleaning lady's concentration levels of cleaning solutions. Bleach used as a cleansing agent nedds very little to go a long way. Insure you have plenty of ventilation in the areas where these cleansers are use. If your cleansers are having a chemical reaction they are not compatabile thus will emit an irritating fume if not fatal if ventilation is not good. Always read the precautions on cleansers.

yep..... take em out, stick them in a tumbler and add bleach :) Little point to consider. Bleach is sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) the spare oxygen molecule is what achieves the bleaching action. It also removes a chunk of the tooth at the same time. Now, that nice violent reaction is not going to harm you when confined to a test tube or glass beaker. Slapping it in your chops, where it can dribble on to the gums, soft tissues in the mouth, tongue etc. is fine if you are of a masochistic nature and don't care about your appearance. You may end up with lovely white stumps and a raw and disfigured face and that's assuming you haven't swallowed any of the stuff. If you want white teeth, brush regularly with a good quality toothpaste and visit the dentist once every quarter.

These cleansers are very harsh and can definitely irritate your eyes and nose, especially if you're sensitive to smells. There's warnings on these products to use in well ventilated areas. Air out the house when using bleach. That's what I have to do.

It's not "normal" to get symptoms of sinusitis from cleaning agents but it is very possible. Different people are sensitive to different things. I get sinusitis 2 or 3 times a year and have to take antibiotics to clear it up. No one knows why. At least you know so in the future you can avoid the triggers and stay symptom free.

Bleach and ammonia are very noxious fumes to the point daycares are not even allowed to spray it because it can cause an asthma attack in some people. I wouls ask your cleaner lady to find cleaners that do not have ammonia or bleach in them they are out there because I am an asthmatic and cannot use either product in my home. I think I use Pine- sol and top job?

Now, do you mean she used a great quantity of bleach and pine-sol together that created the toxic fumes?

That is dangerous that is why most people want the hired help to speak english and read the labels.

Please, this can cost you your health. Consider using cider vinegar, baking soda, or a little 409 to clean your home. It's cheaper, and you can BREATHE.

Until I was about thirty I was very sensitive to ammonia-I would have sinus/lung burn for up to two days after exposure/breathing it in for more than two minutes or so.
