Hi Danielle,
You have asked the golden question. How do I study? How do I pass my exams?
The other answers you have been given all offer good sound advice and you should take note of all their suggestions.
The essential truth is, how bad do you want this qualification?
Someone once told me that the only way I would ever enter a university was if I was carrying a mop.
I now have 2 batchelors degrees and a masters degree.
It is about motivation and what YOU want.
It is difficult to give a solution to your question because it is all about you. No one can pass the exam for you. So ask yourself, "How bad do I want this?" "How important is this to me?"
Do not listen to those who will condemn your efforts. Make sure you surround youself with those who will encourage and support you.
You have plenty of time to prepare so ensure you utilise your time carefully. Life is not all study. Take some time for yourself and relax with friends.
Above all , have faith in yourself. You can do it!!
Good luck with your exam

9 months??????????????? I have never heard of such a long lead time. You must be from another land. Anyway, I would start by dividing my study materials into one-week increments over the course of the 9 months, so you know how much you need to study each week or each day. In the earlier weeks / months, I would schedule a bit more work than the later months, so you have time later for study reviews. I know this isn't motivational for you, but I alway get motivated when I put myself on a schedule.

Nine months is a long time. You won't have covered all the material on the syllabus yet, surely? The key is to develop a routine to your study. You shouldn't overdo it, but you should try to make a point of consolidating what you have been taught each day. That way, it show up any gaps in your understanding and you can talk to your teachers. Also, investigate around your topic. The internet is great for that. Clicking on links is a good way of broadening your knowledge, and it can be enjoyable too. Print out any good stuff to share with your fellow students and teacher. It can really enrich study.
Make it more enjoyable.

Think of how great it will be to pass! Everyone will be so pleased for you. If you have a dream you want to achieve then you need to study to get to it. Think of how happy you will feel after all your hard work to finally achieve that goal. Also, you don't want to be on your homeless *** in ten years time. Concentrate, study for about 40 mins and take ten minute breaks in between. Memorise, draw, read, test yourself, do anything that works. You can pass and achieve your goals. Just believe in yourself and put in a bit of effort and you will succeed.

do it in 20-30 minute increments. then take a 5 minute break. Studies have shown that most peoples learning curve is in that time period, and then a after a little break go back to it.
